“I was admitted to University Community Hospital for a high risk pregnancy February 2011. I had been complaining of abdominal pain and problems with persistent nausea and vomiting for years, despite various medications for diagnosed Crohn’s disease. Due to my complicated medical history and multiple abdominal operations, Dr. Tamar was asked to assist the Cesarean section to handle any possible complications. Upon awakening in the recovery room, I didn’t know if there were complications during the surgery requiring Dr. Tamar’s assistance, however, I knew that the unrelenting pain I experienced for five years was gone. As the anesthesia wore off I and the pain did not return I knew in my heart that something had been done surgically to relieve the pain. It was not until the next day when I spoke with the OB doctor that I was told of the extensive surgery performed by Dr. Tamar.
I am amazed that I suffered five years, and in a few hours Dr. Tamar identified the problem and completely fixed it. I am pain free and able to eat and drink whatever I like. That is a huge change in my life. I have the wonderful quality of life again. I cannot thank Dr. Tamar enough; his knowledge, skills, and bedside manner are unmatched! I highly recommend Dr. Tamar and I will seek his service in the future, if surgery is needed.”
“Last November, one day after disembarking in Fort Lauderdale from a cruise over Thanksgiving, I was in hospital in Tampa for an emergency appendectomy. Residents of Texas, my husband and I had driven from Fort Lauderdale to Tampa to visit family when the pain started. Patients planning on having surgery are advised to thoroughly check out both doctors and hospitals beforehand, but in the case of an emergency this simply is not possible. The surgeon assigned to my case was Dr. Kyron Tamar, and I could not have been more fortunate. The care and attention I received from him was exemplary. He is not only a skilled surgeon, but a caring and compassionate individual with a wonderful bedside manner. Although I knew I was only one of his many patients, he made me feel as though I was the only one who mattered, and I feel blessed to have been under his care.”
“On Monday, May 23, 2011, my wife – Irma Claudio – was admitted to the emergency room at University Community Hospital with major abdominal pains and nausea. We were blessed to have Dr. Tamar come to our rescue. His diagnosis was accurate and his manner was always comforting and reassuring. He proceeded to explain in detail what the cause of the discomfort was and what necessary steps were required to alleviate the situation.
Dr. Tamar’s professional skill as a top-notch surgeon saved my wife and restored her health, after a four and a half hour operation. We are both extremely grateful to God for having put Dr. Tamar in charge of our health crisis. My wife’s speedy recovery is also a testament to Dr. Tamar’s outstanding talent as a surgeon and a fine human being.”

Everyone was very professional, and at the same time, so down to earth. I know this experience will have a major impact on the rest of my life and look forward to completing my wound care.”
